A “New” SEO Tool To expand GSC

I am an inhouse SEO with more than a decade’s experience, having tried dozens of tools (and many may not even exist anymore as far as I know) Ahrefs, SEMrush, Raven Tools Majestic SEO, Sistrix, Onpage, Screaming Frog, Writesonic, etc. etc. a few (not mentioned above) I installed and abandoned straight away (most of them) after 10 minutes of browsing the tool. I saw someone on the internet talking about SEOGets (perhaps it was a Youtube video I can’t recall) and the general UPS get the most out of Google search Console caught my attention.

Why? Because it uses Google Search Console (GSC) data and turns it up with richer insights, automated answers, and predictive analytics.

In this article, I will discuss:
What SEOGets does
How SEOGets reports my last project website organic traffic trends
My personal opinion on the tool and some key takeaways

What SEOGets gives you at first glance that Google Search Console doesn’t

GSC insights automation (rank drop detection, adding notes, growing, decaying and popular keywords, pages, traffic trends)

Some Useful Reporting Solutions

  • Content Decay Map
  • CTR benchmark
  • Keyword Cannibalization (I am not a big fan of such tools)
  • Striking distant keywords which displays keywords ranking in first page position from 10 to 3 including clicks, impressions, position and CTR, where there are opportunities to grow traffic. CTR is estimated not real based on ranking statistics as below table
1st27.6%
2nd15.8%
3rd11%
4th8.4%
5th6.3%
6th4.9%
7th3.9%
8th3.3%
9th2.7%
10th 2.4%

How SEOGets reports Organic traffic increase

Organic Clicks increase 185%

The organic traffic information can be gathered by any SEO software with a quick domain audit on SEMrush, Sistrix or other tools. the Increase reported by SEOGets is very close to the actual numbers; Google Search Console doesn’t allow to go back so much to get a YoY comparison (that’s an advantage of using this tool) so we compared the ball figure with Google Analytics.

Organic Impressions 180%

SEOGets’ report found that the website increase impressions of hundred eighty percent Year on Year. Another cool feature of the tool is that on one page (Dashboard page) you can also see other interesting data such as Branded vs Non-Branded Clicks comparison (non-brand 187% uplift) and a breakdown by device with relative growth in percentage by device (mobile, desktop and tablet).

Another interesting features is that you can export tables in csv format.

With the free trial version I could also test 2 features without limitations: content group and topic clusters. For generic topic cluster you can see a summary of the overall traffic clicks and impressions which is interesting as a cumulative number (I checked the keyword group containing “scratch cards”) which had an uplift of 187% / 264%. Note: if you click on the label/button (I didn’t notice at first) you can open a new page with the traffic trend (clicks/impressions) over time and see the peaks (and add notes, which is a very nice feature to monitor when you implemented some on-page changes or technical SEO improvements). In the new opened dashboard you can see the breakdown of all keyword their clicks and impressions with percentage of variation if you are in the comparison date range mode like I am. Next to it there are all the urls and lading pages getting organic traffic (also with clicks/impressions and change in %).

I also tested and could create with the free trail 2 content groups (you can create more). Same as before: if you click the name (keyword group) of the content groups you will expand in the same page/dashboard the relative queries and urls with traffic data. Here is a sample extracted from the tool

Query Growth in percentage (YOY)
millionday267%
Simbolotto113%
millionday today 519%
last lotto draw388%
lotto today 720%
10 lotto evening (draw)217%

Key Points for SEOGets

  1. Offers extra automation & insights
  2. Offers a useful add note tool and a visualisation of Google updates on the traffic graph timeline (SEMRush does it too)

Final Verdict: Should You Use SEOGets?

✔ Best For:

  • Tired of limited features of GSC analysis
  • Organizations that need automated solutions

❌ Not For:

  • Newbies or One-tool-only budget
  • With the paid version data retention is “only” 16 months (you’d wish for longer time)

Cost

The cost of the tool is in line with other tools.

  • A free version is available (but only for sites with less than 1000 clicks)
  • Unlimited SEOgets $49/month.
